What We Believe

The Bible

The Fall of Mankind

The One True God

The Bible, consisting of both the Old Testament and New Testament, is the inspired word of God. It is without error in everything that it teaches and the ultimate authority on Christian beliefs and living.

2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13 & 2 Peter 1:21

There is one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They are co-equal and each possesses all the attributes of God. God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe and everything in it.

Genesis 1:1, 26-27; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14

Man was created in the image of God. The first human beings, Adam and Eve, disobeyed God and ushered death and sin into the world. Because of sin, all humans are born into a fallen state, separated from God, and facing eternal punishment in Hell.

Genesis 2:17-26, 3:6-23; Romans 3:23, 5:12-19, 6:23; 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10

The Salvation of Mankind

Salvation is a gift from God provided by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection. This salvation is available to everyone, not by good works, but by His grace through faith in Jesus Christ. That faith is expressed through repentance of sin and confession of Jesus Christ as the lord of our life. The individual who receives this salvation is born again into a new life in Christ and affirms this faith through water baptism and will live eternally with Christ in Heaven.

Mark 16:6; John 3:16, 14:6; Romans 5:10, 10:9; 2 Corinthians 5:1; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:4, 2:24; Hebrews 9:26, 11:16

The Church

The Church is the body of Christ. All believers enter into this new family upon salvation. It exists to worship God, equip believers for ministry, and evangelize the world.

Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-28; Ephesians 4:11-16
